At Robert Kett Primary, we believe the study of history is useful for children to develop into well-rounded global citizens. As well as finding out about the past and how it has shaped the present day, children will develop skills of questioning, enquiry, deduction, analysis, evaluation and inference. With these skills, children will be able to question the world around them and increase their understanding of the past. We want children to enjoy and love learning about history by gaining this knowledge and skills, not just through experiences in the classroom, but also with the use of fieldwork and educational visits.
